Duck, Duck… Goose
We have a small pond in our backyard (manmade). Nearly every year we have a pair of Mallards who mate there. I just heard them this morning. Can’t wait to see them again. After the chicks hatch they parade them around the neighborhood as if to say, “look what we did!”

The people in the neighborhood watch for them. Cars slow so the babies can pass safely. People watch for them in spots where they go every year. It’s like that family member who only comes to see you once a year.
