Can someone explain the differences between these three types in plain, easy-to-understand, language?

    I know many of my Totem animals, One spirit animal, and one power animal, but I still get confused about the differences. I wish to be more like Lion so for me, Lion is a power animal, which I draw energy and strength from. Raven is a spirit animal that guards, guides, and protects me. I am aware of many birth totems and one family totem which is Leopard. As Leopard appears on my coat of arms.

    But what are the differences and how do I work with them or am I overlooking the obvious here?

    Thank you in advance!!!

    Have you got the Ark Deck, with the book @Mark Ravenheart.

    If so, Chapter 3, Page 11 in the book, tells you the significance of each one.

    If not, i will type the 3 main passages her for you in a few days.

    Thank you @Pearlized for getting me the chapter and page numbers.

    I do have the book, but I have been unable to read it due to needing new eyeglasses.

    The optometrist wanted to wait, until this coming February, when I have blood sugar under control to prescribe glasses. So I have reading glasses but not prescription lenses, (yet), and I’m developing cataracts. My vision is worsening, but I will try to read it again and get back to ya a little later today.

    Typing it up from the Ark book for you @Mark Ravenheart

    I had started typing it out before you replied, so just carried on. Hopefully you will be able to enlarge this for easier reading.

    Spirit Animal. When an animal you haven’t called on repeatedly presents itself in your life, especially in a short amount of time, that’s your Spirit Animal. It’s the Animal Ally who’s heard your soul cry out for help. It’s a guide carrying messages relating to people, places and conditions in your life. When a Spirit Animal calls to you, it represents something you might consider working on or towards. It may also signify abilities or characteristics you hope to cultivate. Conversely your Spirit Animal may be asking you to recognise traits you might consider purging or healing.

    Totem Animal. So you adore Bears, Your Bear Collection continues to grow. In fact, you often find anything relating to Bears irresistible – You’d almost swear you were born with a teddy bear in your hand! Here’s your Totem Animal in action. You feel Bear calling to you and anything related to the creature draws you in like a magnet. Native American traditions suggest an Animal Totem stays with you or your family for life. As you evolve intellectually, emotionally and spiritually, your Totem’s meaning evolves along with your ever changing awareness.

    Power Animal. When invoking the mental, emotional and physical energetic signatures of a specific animal, you’r working with a Power Animal. Invoking Power Animals involves biochemistry; the act of drawing inspiration from or emulating Animal Guides behaviours and characteristics. In indigenous cultures, elders teach their young how to become a Hawk when needing a different perspective.

    Remember, the synchronistic and intentional appearance of Animal Allies is far beyond coincidence and always perfectly timed. Your advisors come in wing, paw, hoof or fin carrying messages, lessons or reminders of your interconnectedness with all things. It’s up to you to personalise the messages you receive and to use their guidance for the betterment of your life.

    I was pretty close with my interpretations of the three. So, I understood them better than I thought I did. Always with the self-doubt, it seems.

    Mark;

    Please remember these definitions are not ‘the’ only way of interpreting Spirit, Totem, and Power Animals. It’s just the way the Animal Allies downloaded the information to me. Each culture has its own way of describing and working with the sacred energies of Spirit, Totem, and Power Animals. All that said, with students I’ve found that by working in these three different categories the healing and development of their natural instincts has been wayyyy easier and much faster than when not working with them. Hope that helps!
