Question about Stones/Crystals; Specifically, …Tektite, Moldavite, and Herkimer Diamond Crystals

My piece of tektite came in the mail today and I am about to begin working with it. I will have it wire-wrapped so I can wear it as a pendant. My current roommate makes gemstone jewelry and so I am gonna commission her to do the work. So far just holding it in my hand and knowing that it is black I believe this is a protective stone, and it must be pretty powerful as the stone turned warm in my hand rather quickly, but then I really need to work with it more before I draw any conclusions. Still, I am very excited about having the chance to work with it.

I have been wearing the tektite necklace that my friend wire-wrapped in silver for me, for about one solid month now. I will switch off soon and wear the Moldavite pendant as the tektite is rather heavy energy.

I have a chunk of Brazilian Amethyst that is very dark purple (almost black-looking), and I wish I could have some jewelry made from it. I am sure it would produce some beautiful pieces, but I am not sure who would fashion the pieces or the cost involved in the creative process.

I am thinking of collecting some gemstone carvings of animals, the little ones that can fit in one’s hand or in a medicine bag, etc. I believe I have heard them referred to as fetishes, but whatever I think they are cool. I own a bird and a bull, but I don’t know the gemstones they are made from.
