I love Tarot decks as much as the next person, but I find them sometimes difficult for me. I can’t memorize that much (LOL). Hey, I’m old… ya know? I spent 6 months research divination methods from all over the world and it was pretty amazing. I don’t think there is anything on the earth that HASN’T been used for fortune-telling. Abacomancy, for example, interprets patterns in sand, dirt, dust etc. Makes me wonder what my coffee table is telling me.

With all the travelling I used to do, I discovered cards do NOT forgive coffee or Pepsi. So, I made a crystal oracle. It was fun and taught me a lot about not only sacred stones but the art of divination. Do any of you have unique divination systems?

I’m sorry, but your table talking comment still has me laughing LOL. I’m just starting to delve into a lot of this so I do not have an answer to your question. Looking forward to learning more though. :)

I have a question, you said you made a crystal oracle… I am new to a LOT of this… A LOT OF THIS… how did you? is there a book to walk one through making your own oracle, or did it just come to you?

I used to do other methods – showing that it can be done, understanding signs and being able to focus on imaginary.

I don’t do tarot the way most people do it anyway. I also don’t follow any one system of tarot, because I believe it’s a layered language. It’s just a way to focus the energy

Symbology, Nuances, awareness, and being able to

I have this story I tell when I do my class Introduction to Imagery in Divination

I love having a table in the Vendors space at Science Fiction Conventions. I use this time as a reader to educate people on understanding their own symbolism and being more aware of the universe and the signs all around us daily.

It was mid day on the second day, and like normal I had a small crowd watching me do a reading for a young man who was in his early 20s, and had been sorta the ‘Prove it to me’ type conversation before the reading.

I always remind the audience that the reading can have many levels and sometimes even information for others can come through the reading that are for someone in the space. All I ask is that everyone be polite and respectful. I’m not here to force anyone to believe, nor am I here to convince you of what I see is real.

I was using my Thoth Deck and I do what I call a foundation layout

Anyway the young man asked if there was anything he needed to do, as he sat across from me, with the small crowd behind him standing. My next table vendor mate had pulled up a chair and had been watching, listening and asking questions as he was a reader too, and was very keen on this nuance and symbolism idea.

    I laid out the cards
And I listened as the crowd do this quiet gasp…. watching card after card come up. I motioned to the crowd to by putting my index finger to my lips for them to keep the comments down.

The young man looked up, as I took a deep breath and looked up to the crowd and said ‘ If he doesn’t see this on his own there isn’t much I can add’

Looking straight at him I said ‘ Son, your choice is obvious, if you can’t see what I am seeing then there isn’t much I can say‘.

He said, sorta kidding ‘ Like what am I suppose to be seeing?’

I asked ‘What do you see?’

He said slightly laughing but also with this odd trepidation ‘Tell me’

I took another deep breath – slowly pointing to every single card – which all looked like some kind of fighter plane, jet, rocket, and said ‘hey all looked like planes. You were given the choice, take it. Take the opportunity and go to the Navel flight school! You’ve always wanted to be a pilot, DO IT’

He looked at me, looked over his shoulder and his two friends pointed out the cards – saying what plane they even looked like to him, as the rest of the crowd started in on helping me get this young man to realize he has his opportunity.

He got real serious, looking at me, slowly speaking ‘I hadn’t told anyone. There are so many failures, washouts…why try’.

Someone in the back said ‘Cause DUDE – it’s right in front of you Why!’

Anyway, long before someone sat down and created the art and meanings for divination, people have been using imagery and nuances to do interpretive readings.

Yes, it helps to know the ‘artist/authors’ mind when it comes to the different tarot/oracle/card decks. But everything goes through your filters and imagery setups.

I just believe it’s honing into energy communications and being able to parse it like a language interpreter does.

Coffee table talk! BAHAHAHHAAA! I have a unique form of divination that was downloaded into me by the Animal Allies. It separates Spirit Animals, Totem Animals, and Power Animals. The SECOND I started using that in my readings practice the sessions went atomic! It was and still is crazy! Here’s my vid about the difference between Spirit, Totem, and Power Animals:

Oh there are SO many applications for your sacred art! It’s automatic writing, the pieces can be portals or mandalas to be meditated on…the possibilities are endless!
